About Chunichi Dragons:

Hi! This is a Koko! I'm a senior in high school writing and creating this website!

Today I'll be briefly introducing my favorite Japanese baseball team, the Chunichi Dragons!

Here's the logo of the team:

The Chunichi Dragons are a professional baseball team based in Nagoya, Japan. They are one of the twelve teams that make up Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and compete in the Central League.

The Chunichi Dragons were founded in 1936, originally as the Nagoya Club, and later became the Chunichi Dragons. They were one of the original six teams when Nippon Professional Baseball was established in 1950. The Chunichi Dragons home ground is located in Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya City, Japan.

The Chunichi Dragons play their home games at Nagoya Dome, a modern, indoor stadium in Nagoya, which opened in 1997. It is interesting that Nagoya Dome is the biggest stadium out of all of the stadiums in the twelve different NPB teams and one of the lowest data of hitting a homerun in the stadium.

Chunichi Dragons won the championship twice in 1954 and 2007 and won the league championship nine times in 1954, 1974, 1982, 1988, 1999, 2004, 2006, 2010, and 2011.

The team has had several legendary players in its history, including pitchers like Shigeru Sugishita and Kazuhisa Inao and position players like Koichi Tabuchi and Kosuke Fukudome (I met him!).

We also have the team mascot character named "Doala," which is motifed from a koala with a blue sprit, which stands for the team color.

The Chunichi Dragons have a passionate and dedicated fan base, with fans often referred to as "Dragonheads." They are known for their energetic support of the team.
